National Service at Action Resources International
ARI is the sponsor for several National Service based programs, an AmeriCorps Intermediary Program that works with organizations to provide direct-service to the people they serve, and an AmeriCorps VISTA Intermediary Program. ARI also sponsors the Foster Grandparents of the Wyoming Rockies, a SeniorCorps program, to provide community elders opportunities to serve as mentoring volunteers for children in educational settings.
About AmeriCorps VISTA
Action Resources International AmeriCorps VISTA Rural Intermediary program in Wyoming. ARI provides VISTA host sites with recruitment tools, outreach strategies, support and development of new projects, technical support, individual VISTA member communication and all finance and payroll systems. AmeriCorps VISTA members are passionate and committed to their mission to bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They focus their efforts to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.
About AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates
AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate program is a short-term service opportunity. Summer Associates enhance an existing VISTA project by allowing individuals to provide direct service over an 8, 9 or 10 week term of service. Summer Associates are available to work full-time, must be at least 18 years of age and will develop a diverse set of personal and professional skills throughout their intensive summer of service.
